Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pathway Co-ordinator within our Radiology Department based UHC and UHA.

Hours:

Hours will be 36hrs per Monday-Friday

This post is offered on a permanent basis

UK Driving Licence

Full UK driving licence is essential to this role

What you will do:

The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to Consultant Radiologists and the wider clinical team. Acting as a key point of contact for radiology pathways, you will support radiologists, radiographers, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive timely access to diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures.

This is a varied and fast-paced role requiring excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. The post holder will proactively manage a range of imaging pathways and administrative processes, helping to maintain high standards of patient care and service delivery across Radiology Services.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across a wide range of professional groups. They will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and healthcare information systems, with excellent keyboard and data input skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

The ability to work autonomously, exercise initiative, problem solve effectively and maintain strict confidentiality at all times is essential. The post holder must be flexible in their approach to work and willing to provide cross-site cover to support service delivery as required.

Knowledge of radiology services, diagnostic pathways, urgent and cancer referral processes, and image-guided procedures would be advantageous.
