The Radiology Department is seeking experienced Radiology Assistants who are self-motivated and hardworking to join our team. The post will be based in the Radiology Department where you will help with patients during radiological examinations and support radiographers in the co-ordination of workflow through the department.

Please note: This role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application, as we are unable to support visa applications for this position.

Main duties of the job

Experience of patient care and previous radiology assistant experience is required as you will be working alongside and supporting the Radiographers, Sonographers and Radiologists as they are conducting radiological examinations.

You will also be helping with general tasks such as taking calls from the wards or Emergency Department and directing clinicians to the correct contacts. You will be using the radiology department information system (CRIS) to action patient attendances and maintain accurate data records. You will participate in cleaning and stocktaking duties.

There will be a requirement to commit to working both daytime and night shifts as well as participation in a 7-day 24-hour service.

The role is interesting and varied and candidates must be keen to learn, enjoy a challenge and have the ability to use their own initiative.

Computer skills are essential.
