An exciting opportunity is available for the right candidate to come and support our Radiology team in delivering excellent patient centred care. The post holder will undertake reception duties and assist the Radiographers as they require. The hours equate to 19.25 hours per week. Shifts are over a 7 day period: Monday-Sunday 16:30-00:00 and Sat/Sun/BH 9:30-16:30.
This role is pivotal in the smooth running of the Radiology out of hours service. It offers a pressurised environment at the forefront of acute patient journey's and your impact can help shape the patient experience and provide your colleagues with meaningful support. The right candidate would be enthusiastic, patient minded, hard working and organised. Main duties of the job
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To perform administrative and clerical duties for patients attending Radiology.
- To work as part of the weekend and evening team during the hours of 9:00am – 4:30pm and 4:30pm-midnight across 7 days. Some daytime weekday working may be required to facilitate training.
- To assist the Radiographers during patient examinations in the Radiology Department working within the scope of department procedures and practices.
- To be responsible for the care and comfort of the patient whilst in the Department.

- Understanding of different imaging modalities
- Working knowledge of ionising radiation regulations

- Previous experience in a healthcare setting

- Ability to engage with moving and handling of patients and equipment

Education and Qualifications

- GCSE's or equivalent experience
- NVQ Level 3 in care or working towards
