Main duties of the job

Milton Keynes is one of the UK's fastest-growing cities, offering excellent transport links, vibrant cultural and leisure facilities, and extensive green space, with approximately a quarter of the city made up of parkland and woodland.

As a Radiographer at MKUH, you will undertake a broad range of imaging examinations while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety and professionalism in line with the Trusts core values. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the multidisciplinary team and contribute to the training and development of students, apprentices and learners.

We actively support career development, role extension and advanced practice opportunities. Rotations through CT, MRI, Interventional Radiology and Cardiology may be available. Our department also has established reporting radiographers covering MSK, chest and abdominal reporting.

The postholder must hold a BSc (Hons) Radiography, or DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent in Radiography and be HCPC registered.

You must demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills. Be committed to continuing professional development. Have a good understanding of radiation protection, IR(ME)R and relevant health and safety legislation. Be able to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary Team.

You will participate in a 24/7 Rostered Shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and on-call duties. Flexibility in your approach to work is essential, with an unwavering commitment to keeping patients at the forefront of your clinical practice.

Applications are welcomed from Student Radiographers and Apprentice Radiographers due to qualify shortly. We offer direct recruitment to Band 4 positions pending HCPC registration, with progression to Band 5 upon successful registration.
