To work in all general areas of the department on a rotational basis, working within set clinical protocols and IRMER regulations ensuring a high quality and efficient Radiographic Service. To ensure consistency of medical imaging quality and standards of patient care in a wide range of clinical environments as well as to a diverse range of patient presentations.
Main duties of the job
St Helier Hospital has 3 CT scanners and 2 MRI scanners and Epsom have 2 CT scanners and 2 MRI scanners, US and DEXA equipment for all age groups, and a Paediatric service at St Helier for x-ray and dental x-ray. We also have very successful Nuclear Medicine, Fluoroscopy and Interventional Radiology services.

As a department we provide excellent opportunities for our staff to develop their career. Our department supports advanced practice where we have an established ultrasound training programme alongside radiographers trained in reporting. We are a teaching hospital and clinical placement centre for undergraduate students from Kingston University and all Radiographers are expected to contribute to the training of students.
There is a 24-hour Accident & Emergency department at both St Helier and Epsom sites. You will be required to take part in the out of hours on-call service and extended days evenings and weekends to ensure we provide consistent care to our patients through 7 day working.
