Job overview

We are entering an exciting phase of positive development at RWT, with plans to expand both our services and our teams. We hope you will consider becoming a valued part of our department.

Our focus is on delivering outstanding patient care, and as a radiographer, you will play a vital role in each patient’s experience within radiology. We are equally dedicated to supporting your professional growth, offering a range of development opportunities such as early access to specialist training, postgraduate education, and student development roles. If you’d like to join a friendly and supportive team, we encourage you to apply.

You must hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Diagnostic Radiography and be registered with the HCPC. Recent NHS or equivalent experience is essential.

This role will involve working nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

Although the position is primarily based at Cannock Chase Hospital, you will be required to rotate across all trust sites.

Main duties of the job

As a diagnostic radiographer, you will rotate through the full scope of plain film imaging, including ED, fracture clinic, main X‑ray, fluoroscopy, theatres, mobile imaging, dental radiography and heart and lung outpatients. You will work across both the New Cross and Cannock CDC sites to support the delivery of our comprehensive services.

You will deliver high‑quality patient care and produce accurate diagnostic images, working independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring patients are supported throughout their visit.

Our service operates over extended hours, including weekends and bank holidays, and you will be required to participate in a flexible working pattern.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

It is important that your application meets the minimum requirements of the person specification, as the Trust will shortlist against these details. Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification for more information.
