Job overview
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and pro-active Principal Clinical Psychologist to join our Adult Eating Disorder service. This is a pivotal leadership role within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team supporting individuals aged 18 plus, experiencing either a first or longer term eating disorder presentation.
You will provide and supervise expert psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention, while also leading service development, supervision, and clinical governance. Your work will directly influence the quality and safety of care delivered during critical moments in our service users lives.
The service operates 5 days a week, 9am–5pm. There is an expectation that this role would operate within core working hours.
Main duties of the job
- Deliver high-level psychological assessments and interventions for service users.
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to psychologists and the wider MDT.
- Work systemically within and across services to support and guide the networks around service users needs.
- Contribute to strategic planning and service development across the Eating Disorder pathway.
- Lead on quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to clinical governance standards.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other professionals to deliver integrated care
