Do you want to be part of a developing and innovative CAMHS service? Are you passionate about promoting the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people through early intervention and partnership working? We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Primary Mental Health Worker to join our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team. This exciting role focuses on working collaboratively across the Primary Care Network (PCN), providing specialist mental health consultation, advice, training and direct clinical interventions to children, young people and their families. The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting the early identification of emotional wellbeing and mental health needs, delivering brief evidence-based interventions, undertaking psychosocial assessments and working in partnership with schools, GPs, education, health and wider community services. You will also contribute to the implementation of the THRIVE framework, helping to improve access to timely and appropriate mental health support across the locality.
Main duties of the job
We are committed to the ongoing development of our staff and offer a supportive learning environment with regular supervision, opportunities for continuing professional development and access to a range of training.
The hours of work are 9.00am–5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Experience of working with children and young people with emotional wellbeing or mental health needs is essential, alongside excellent communication and partnership-working skills.

- Experience of working post qualified in a child and adolescent mental health team or equivalent

- Professional qualification and training in either: Registered Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy
