Main duties of the job

As a Prescribing Pharmacist at Operose Health, you will be a critical part of the healthcare delivery team focused on providing exemplary primary care. Your role will include taking comprehensive histories, performing clinical assessments, diagnosing, treating, and evaluating patient care. Demonstrating safe and expert clinical decision-making skills is key, as is your ability to collaborate with our general practice team to enhance patient outcomes. Supporting policy delivery and leadership also form part of your role. Your qualifications need to include an undergraduate degree in pharmacy, registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council, and an independent prescribing qualification. Ideally, you should possess experience in general practice, and you must be adept at applying clinical judgment when prioritizing patient care. Main Responsibilities:

As a valued member of the Operose Health team, your key duties will include:

  • Provide care for presenting patient from initial history taking clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care.
  • You must demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnosis skills for patients within the general practice.
  • You will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of the patients, supporting delivery of policy and procedures and providing nurse leadership as required.

  • Undergraduate degree in pharmacy and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Independent prescribing qualification.
  • Ability to apply effective clinical judgement in the prioritisation and decision-making aspects of the role.
  • Previous general practice experience is desirable.
