We are seeking to recruit a Practice Educator to be a member of the TSD Pharmacy department and a core member of the University of Bath Plymouth-based MPharm teaching team.
You will provide high quality teaching and assessment in the area of pharmacy practice in the MPharm degree course, contribute to the development and teaching of further taught courses and be a member of the Pharmacy Education and Training team at Torbay Hospital.
Main duties of the job
- This teaching-specialist academic role covers all aspects of the design, delivery and development of education on the University of Bath’s taught programmes. The description below indicates the level of responsibility and scope of the role in terms of the range of activities that may be required. You will not necessarily be expected to undertake the full range at any one time but may be required to do any of them with reasonable notice and support, according to the changing needs in the Department/ Division / University.
- In addition to the teaching role at the University, you will also be part of the Education and Training team within the Pharmacy at Torbay Hospital. Within the pharmacy you would be expected to be a practicing Clinical Pharmacist within a designated specialty. You will be involved in the design and delivery of the experiential hospital visits in MPharm 1, lead on the design and delivery of the Clinical Learning in Practice (CLIP) teaching in MPharm 1-4 and support other Practice Placements throughout the MPharm.
