NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this position is 4 days over 7.

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

An exciting unique opportunity has arisen within the Occupational Therapy Acute services in Greater Glasgow and Clyde for a Practice Development Occupational Therapist. The post holder will lead the development of Occupational Therapy practice within the acute sector, as well as providing operational support to the rotational lead role. You will link with HEI's to support student education and support professional leadership.

You will work with Occupational Therapy staff group, providing training and guidance to ensure that clinical care and interventions delivered are of a high standard, evidence based and meet both current and future demands.  You will use an innovative approach to improve quality of service delivery to achieve patient centred outcomes.  Essential skills include, leadership, service improvement, coaching as well as a sound knowledge of improvement methodology. Previous experience is required within clinical leadership roles, and applicants must have an excellent understanding of the acute OT role and the current drivers and challenges.

To apply for this post, it is essential for you to be qualified to degree level or equivalent within Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Health Care Professionals Council. Masters level education desirable.
