We are looking for a Practice Development Facilitator to join the L&D team on a full time, 12 month secondment.
As a Practice Development Facilitator, you will play a key role in supporting the development of our clinical workforce across BPAS.
Working closely with the Practice Development Lead, Clinical Leads, Operational teams, L&D, and Clinical Quality colleagues, you will help deliver high-quality clinical training, competency assessment, and practice development activities that support safe and effective patient care.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of clinical education programmes, competency pathways, induction programmes, and simulation-based learning activities.
You will support clinicians throughout their development, helping to build confidence, capability, and consistency of practice, while contributing to the ongoing development of BPAS's internal training provision and workforce development initiatives.
This is a hybrid role where you will work from home with regular travel to BPAS units and other locations as required.
Main duties of the job
- Deliver clinical training, education, and competency assessment across BPAS to support safe practice.
- Assess clinical competency in abortion and related care, developing improvement plans where needed.
- Provide coaching, supervision, and development support to clinicians and Clinical Leads.
- Support the design and delivery of clinical education, induction, and simulation-based learning.
- Contribute to competency audits, training compliance monitoring, and workforce readiness reviews.
- Maintain accurate training, competency, and workforce records, producing reports as required.
- Work collaboratively with operational, clinical, quality, and L&D teams to support service development and clinical practice improvement.
About You
You will be a Registered Nurse or Midwife with at least two years post-registration experience.
You will have experience supporting the learning and development of others, either formally or informally, and bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be confident building positive working relationships across teams and comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Organised and self-motivated, you will demonstrate a commitment to professional development and delivering high standards of patient care.
