Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Porter/Security/Driver based at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
What you will do:
The general role of the porter/driver is widely varied and consists of duties such as driving, meal delivery, item delivery, security – (monitoring CCTV, patrolling premises, locking and securing same, issuing keys, assisting with gritting) waste management, at times transfer of patients in and around some hospital areas, the transportation of: linen, specimens, stores, equipment and supplies etc. The porters also coordinate all internal and external mail and assist as a presence in incidents related to violence and aggression. A minimum of 19.73 hours per week are provided on a week to week basis and there is no guarantee of additional hours, however, dependant on leave requirements can be up to 37 hours. Hours allocated are over 7 days and differing shift patterns.
