We have an exciting opportunity to join our Population Health Team as a Population Health Support Officer. This is a key role supporting the delivery of our Population Health Strategy and helping to improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities across our communities.
You will work closely with Population Health Officers, the Population Health Lead, Consultant in Public Health and wider partners, providing project, administrative and coordination support across a range of programmes and initiatives.
Main duties of the job
- Act as the first point of contact for the Population Health Department
- Support the planning and delivery of population health projects, campaigns, and events
- Coordinate and organise meetings, training sessions, and engagement activities
- Maintain and update databases, reports, and project documentation
- Engage with staff, partners, and local communities, including seldom-heard groups
- Provide high-quality administrative support to the wider team
About You
We are looking for a motivated and organised individual who:
- Has experience in an administrative and project support role
- Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills
- Is confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Can manage competing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team
Be highly motivated and enjoy working in a changing environment
- Has an interest in population health, prevention and reducing inequalities

Job responsibilities
- The post holder will act as first point of contact for the Population Health Department and as such, must display a considerable degree of initiative and exercise their own judgement whilst maintaining a calm, friendly and efficient manner when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- To provide support to the Population Health Officers, Consultant in Public Health (CPH), Population Health Lead and wider Population Health Team to support the delivery of the Population health strategy.
- Support the Population Health Officers and wider Population Health Team to embed Population Health guidelines into standard processes across the trust and wider system.
- Maintenance of various databases within the Population Health Team.
- Support with the organisation and co-ordination of events such as events and training.
- Engage with local communities and a range of professionals in relation to Population Health initiatives.
- Arranging and co-ordinating meetings to support the Population Health Strategy and the wider running of Population Health Department This will include preparing paperwork, agendas, taking notes as and when required.
- General administration duties for the Population Health Department. .
