We are looking for a Band 6 Specialist Podiatrist within Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust
This role is for a highly motivated and professional HCPC registered Podiatrist with graduate clinic experience to provide high-quality Podiatrist care for patients with pathological foot conditions and those at risk of developing serious foot health complications. The post holder is required to have excellent diagnostic and clinical skills to deliver a range of Podiatry treatments, including Biomechanical interventions and wound care for patients in Kent,
The Clinician will effectively record all interventions and offer support, advice and guidance to Band 5 Podiatrists, Podiatry Assistants, Foot Health Practitioners, students and administration staff wherever they are working. The post holder must work effectively as part of the Podiatry team/department and always use good communication skills.
Main duties of the job
- Using their clinical judgement and risk assessments to keep the people using our services as safe as possible
- Safeguarding people by recognising and responding when an adult or child might be at risk from abuse but also recognising their limits, asking for help and escalating concerns when necessary
- Responding appropriately to safety concerns, escalating as required and ensuring all governance procedures are implemented
- Being open and transparent about their practice.
- Supervising the work of others.
- Reflecting on one's own everyday practice and that of teams, identifying areas where improvements in safety or quality can be made, and taking recommendations through to the appropriate forums.
- Working with other teams and partner agencies to create a culture of continuous improvement and service development.
- Maintaining accurate, legible, comprehensive records and leading on regular compliance audits.
- Maintaining compliance with mandatory training requirements and scope of extended competencies.
- Maintaining professional registration and demonstrating adherence to the Codes of Conduct in line with relevant professional bodies
