Cardiff and Vale Podiatry Services are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and adaptable individual who is passionate about providing clinical excellence. This friendly busy department consists of approximately 60 staff and provides services across Cardiff and the Vale from multiple sites including community clinics, hospitals and patients own homes. Cardiff is the capital city of Wales hosting national and international events, where people are proud of where they live. The post is amenable to part time or full time working. The Podiatry Service offers a comprehensive rotational scheme, for both entry level and experienced staff. Main duties of the job
Cardiff and Vale University Health board (UHB) is a large teaching health board delivering super regional as well as local services with close links to Cardiff University and Cardiff Metropolitan University, with a high profile teaching, research and development role within the UK and abroad. So together we are training the next generation of health professionals.
This will be a great opportunity to develop in your career in a supportive environment working with expert clinicians. You will need strong communication skills and the ability to work well within the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and effective services to patients. The post holder will need to have excellent diagnostic and clinical skills to deliver a range of high quality Podiatry treatments including biomechanical interventions and wound care across community services.
The post holder will have clinical responsibility for and will be working closely with other community healthcare workers and provider agencies within a variety of care settings including community clinics, domiciliary work and care homes and contributes to the development of podiatry.
The UHB is committed to the professional development of all staff and the post offers excellent opportunities for CPD and career development. Post graduate education, research and evidence based practice are a priority for Podiatry.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
