Job overview
To work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality and evidence based physiotherapy interventions under the guidance of a physiotherapist to enable people who access services to reach their full potential. This post is within an inpatient Mental Health ward for Older Adults.
Main duties of the job
- To provide high quality and evidence-based physiotherapy interventions (group and individual) to people who access services and their carers/supporters/family members, in line with the physiotherapy pathways and with supervision from a specialist physiotherapist.
- To communicate effectively with people who access services, carers, the multi-disciplinary team and when appropriate outside agencies.
- To contribute to the generic functioning of the team.
- To contribute to physiotherapy student placements.
- To participate in service development and audits.
