An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Community Therapy Team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust.

Based at Ryegate Children's Centre, you will work alongside a dedicated team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, supporting children and young people aged 5 to 19 years with physical difficulties to achieve their individual goals and maximise their potential.

This varied and rewarding role will see you delivering therapy programmes across a range of community settings, including mainstream and specialist schools, clinics, and the hydrotherapy pool. You will play a key role in supporting the assessment, treatment and ongoing care of children and young people, helping them to develop their independence, mobility and participation in everyday activities.

Our Community Therapy Team is experienced, supportive, compassionate and forward-thinking. You will benefit from working within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team and will have the opportunity to gain a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience in a specialist paediatric environment.

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Team Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver therapy and rehabilitation programmes for children and young people with complex needs, using play, positioning and physical activity
• Support children and young people to improve function, independence and participation in everyday life
• Manage a delegated caseload, delivering and reviewing individualised treatment programmes under the guidance of registered Allied Health Professionals
• Work collaboratively with families, education settings and multidisciplinary colleagues to provide high-quality, child-centred care
• Promote health, wellbeing and positive outcomes through evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
