We are excited to offer a fixed-term opportunity for a motivated Physiotherapist to join the Specialist Learning Disability team, currently covering Boston, Skegness, and Louth, although you may need to cover service-wide as needed.
This post provides the opportunity for someone with post qualification experience or newly qualified, who has an interest in working with adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs.
Within this role you will work as part of a well-established multi-disciplinary team, offering a range of specialist health interventions to people with a learning disability within their place of normal residence, respite and day care placements.

Main duties of the job
You will support the provision of Physiotherapy for adults with Learning Disabilities across 3 core pathways: mental health, positive behaviour support and physical health.
The role includes clinical assessment, care planning and appropriate clinical decision-making skills. Being a compassionate, organised, team player with excellent communication skills and effective time management skills are key, as well as being accountable for your own caseload management and being able to identify physiotherapy interventions which you will joint work with staff within the team to deliver.
Enthusiasm and motivation are just as important as your experience for this role, as full training can be provided for a successful applicant with the relevant qualifications.

Skills
Essential
- Clinical reasoning skills.
- Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written skills alone with clear logical presentation skills.
- Knowledge of clinical/risk assessment and understanding of Information Governance principles.
- Ability to work independently and collectively.
Desirable
- Supervision of junior staff.
- Experience of completing mobility assessments
- Experience of completing initial assessments and risk assessments.
Experience
Essential
- Experience working in a healthcare provider organisation as a physiotherapist (or student placement)
Desirable
- Experience of working with Adults with Learning disabilities.
- Experience of working as a qualified Physiotherapist
Qualifications

- BSc Hons in Physiotherapy or post graduate diploma in Physiotherapy.
- HCPC registered Physiotherapist
