An exciting opportunity has risen to join the phlebotomy team. If you are enthusiastic about patient care and have a desire to work in a supportive, compassionate, and dedicated team then this is the role for you.

The phlebotomy service is based across both Warrington & Halton site and covers some outreach services.

This is 20 hours a week permanent contract your core hours will be between 7am until 8pm Monday to Sunday 7 days a week.

Weekend working is on a rotation basis to support the service demands.

The 20 hours will be distributed over 5 days a week and will be discussed at Interview.

Main duties of the job

Your main duties of the post will be the collection of blood samples by venepuncture and capillary on both adults and children.

The successful candidate must be computer literate, knowledge of Lorenzo would be an advantage, but it is not essential as full training will be given.

There will be additional duties such as some clerical and housekeeping duties.

The effective candidate will need to provide a prominent level of customer care service and possess excellent communication skills with patients, staff, and managers.

All applicants are expected to possess good teamwork qualities, be forward thinking with willingness to learn new skills.

The candidates must have a flexible approach to working hours to meet service level requirements and needs.

We are a compassionate team, looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual.

The successful candidate will be a valued member of the team, you must be reliable, flexible, and able to work across all areas of the service.

Our phlebotomy team is currently expanding due to service needs and giving staff new opportunities.

Previous experience is highly desirable; however, training can be provided.

£25,275.00 per annual pro rata working full time hours, subject to satisfactory personal development and performance. Your hourly rate is £12.71p an hour.

Applicants new to the Trust will normally commence at the minimum of the salary scale.
