Are you an experienced Phlebotomist looking for an opportunity to make a real difference to patients within their own community?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Community Phlebotomist to join our Harrow Integrated Care Service, working alongside our District Nursing Teams to provide high-quality, compassionate care to the diverse communities we serve.

You will play an important role in supporting patients across Harrow, delivering phlebotomy services within community settings and working closely with nurses, clinicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive safe, timely and person-centred care.

You will be based within one of our 3 Harrow localities and become part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, with opportunities to build strong relationships across both community and acute services.

We are looking for someone who is caring, reliable and confident in their phlebotomy skills, with excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing a positive experience for every patient.

Main duties of the job

As a Band 3 Community Phlebotomist, you will:

• Provide a high-quality and compassionate phlebotomy service to patients across the Harrow Integrated Care Service.
• Work within community settings, supporting patients to access timely care closer to home.
• Work closely with District Nursing Teams, clinicians and other healthcare professionals to support safe and coordinated patient care.
• Provide a professional, respectful and reassuring experience for patients from a wide range of backgrounds and communities.
• Communicate effectively with patients, carers and colleagues, ensuring information is shared appropriately.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across community and acute services, maintaining positive working relationships.
• Contribute to the smooth and effective delivery of the phlebotomy service across the Harrow localities.
• Support the wider integrated care team in delivering a responsive, patient-centred service.
