We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP & YOI Hollesley Bay, a category D Prison located in the village of Hollesley, near Woodbridge in Suffolk.
Hours
37.5
Monday to Friday: 07:00am - 15:00pm / 08:15am-16:15pm / 07:00-17:00pm.
Salary
This position is full time, with the salary ranging between £29,264 - £33,510 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
- Ensuring timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy.
- Work together to make a difference to all the people we support, and make Practice Plus Group, a place where each of us feels appreciated, challenged and supported to do our best work fulfilling the lives of others.
- Communicate complex or sensitive information whilst demonstrating empathy and understanding to patients.
- Share information relating to pharmaceutical products, medicines optimisation, drug regimes, medicines legislation and general health education so that the multidisciplinary healthcare team are appropriately informed.

- You will hold NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC)
- You will also have relevant post-qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
