The Pharmacy Department is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking individual to join our purchasing team as a Pharmacy Purchasing and Stores Assistant working in the pharmacy store and with the pharmacy robot to ensure urgent medicines are received into the Trust and that fluids and feeds are stored and supplied according to the high standards set out by our wholesale dealer's licence. You will also cover the priority porter role on a planned basis working on a shift rota.
This is a full time post working an average of 37.5 hours per week including weekends and late evenings on a rota.
Main duties of the job
To work as a member of the procurement team supporting the procurement officer in the purchase of medicine supplies for the Trust. To utilise the computerised pharmacy stock control system for the ordering and receipt of medicine. To perform routine operations of the robot To work as member of the pharmacy stores team to ensure pharmacy goods are received into the Trust and that fluids and feeds are provided to clinical areas. Work under our wholesale distributors authorisation providing fluid and feeds to our external customers. Ensure the pharmacy store is maintained to a high standard.
To deliver medicines around Cornwall as required using a Trust vehicle.
