Job overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated pharmacy assistants to join our Pharmacy team at Imperial. You will work within our busy Dispensary and Distribution Team, delivering a high-quality, patient-focused service. This includes using robotic dispensing systems, managing stock, supporting wards and clinics, and assisting pharmacy stores.

The role involves manual handling as part of day-to-day duties and  is a fast-paced and sometimes a demanding role, especially during busy periods, but it is highly rewarding and offers the opportunity to make a real difference to patient care.

We are looking for someone committed, adaptable, and able to work under pressure. If you have just completed college and are unsure which path to follow, this could be a great opportunity to explore a career in healthcare.

You will be part of a hands-on, supportive team in a diverse and multicultural environment where teamwork is essential. The role requires flexibility, with occasional weekend working.

A minimum of Grade 4 (or equivalent) in Maths and English is essential. We are committed to your development, offering opportunities to complete an NVQ and progress to a Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship. Vacancies are available across our three main Trust sites, providing further opportunities for experience and progression. So if you are looking for something new, hit the button and apply.

  • In association with the senior technician, ward/department manager and specialist pharmacists to ensure that stock lists are updated and adequately reflect the needs of the area.
  • To partake in the TTO packs over-labelling service and support the over-labelling assistant (Charing Cross only).
  • To undertake day to day housekeeping tasks and other basic duties as per section rota’s.
  • To assist in the filling of the automated dispensing system (Robot) and associated stock take and maintenance tasks.
