Spire Methley Park are currently seeking an experienced Recovery and Anaesthetics Practitioner to join our team on a fulltime, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive, highperforming Theatre department where youll play a key role in delivering safe, highquality perioperative care across both Anaesthetics and Recovery.

Shift patterns available include:

  • Early Shift: 07:00 18:00
  • Long Day: 07:00 20:30
  • Late Shift: 13:00 20:30
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays

Spire Methley Park Hospital situated in Methley in South Leeds, has recently completed a 7.6 million refurbishment, which included a new theatre equipped with cutting-edge technology enabling us to carry out complex surgery across a variety of clinical specialties. Main duties of the job

Duties and responsibilities

The successful Practitioner or Nurse will prepare the operating theatre/anaesthetic room for surgery in relation to instrumentation, equipment and supplies required for specific operative procedures, ensuring waste is kept to a minimum. You will run a theatre list without supervision and supervise / mentor junior staff (subject to experience) and perform anaesthetic duties. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills as the unit performs various surgical procedures.

Job responsibilities

Who we're looking for

  • Qualified ODP/Nurse with an Anaesthetic Module
  • NMC or HCPC registered with no restrictions on your pin.
  • At least 1 year Anaesthetics experience ideally
  • Recovery experience is a requirement
  • Have been employed in a surgical/Theatre setting.
  • You will be highly motivated and used to working in challenging but rewarding environment.
