We require a friendly and enthusiastic individual to join a highly motivated, dedicated team of Housekeepers / Cleaners at the Warneford Hospital. The role is based in our non-patient team, with support on the mental health wards to provide cleaning cover for all areas when needed
You'll be responsible for cleaning and maintaining non-patient areas according to Trust policy and procedures at a level that meets or exceeds National Cleanliness standards.
This role adds to the patients experience by providing a high-quality cleaning. The aim will be to ensure a clean safe environment, of which in-house training will be provided. To succeed in this role you'll need to be a team player who can be flexible and reliable, with good interpersonal and communication skills.
Shift pattern: Monday and Tuesday - 6am - 14:00pm and Wednesday 6am - 10:00am

Main duties of the job
- To carry out daily cleaning routines as scheduled.
- To carry out cleaning tasks as per rota.
- To handle and remove waste in line with segregation processes and procedures
- To unpack and stack all linen and laundry.
- To ensure kitchen equipment, regeneration equipment and all surfaces are clean at all times.
- To ensure the dining room in day hospital is cleaned after each meal.
- Ensure all food items are correctly stored and there are adequate supplies.
- To follow hygiene regulations.
- To follow Health & Safety regulations.
- To provide cover for colleagues during absences.
- To ensure cleaning trolleys are fully stocked with sufficient cleaning materials, equipment to clean each area.
- To ensure all cleaning materials are used as directed and secured securely and safely in compliance with COSHH regulations.
- Observes proper procedures upon entering patient areas
- To ensure that all equipment used is fit for purpose and report any damaged or out of date PAT tested machinery to head porter.
- To ensure proper procedures are followed when cleaning in patient areas
- Adheres to all policies and procedures relevant to the rolE
