Job summary

Paramedics are autonomous practitioners who are accountable for the assessment, treatment, diagnosis, management and referral of patients, including the supply and administration of medicines, in a range of urgent, emergency, critical and out of hospital settings.

They have accountability to effectively plan, deliver and evaluate care for a group of patients with a range of conditions.

This role operates across a range of clinical areas within health and community services.

Individuals at this level will be able to plan and deliver care for complex or high risk patients and provide effective clinical leadership, development and mentorship to operational personnel, including newly qualified paramedics, technicians and students to support the delivery of a high quality patient centred service. Contribute to the development of an integrated approach to the delivery of emergency and urgent unscheduled and out of hours care involving all relevant stakeholders including health and social care organisations and other allied health professionals.
