We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 physiotherapist to join our supportive and dynamic community therapy team on a fixed-term/secondment basis to cover maternity leave.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established band 5 paediatric therapist to develop their clinical skills within a well-established service, working with children and young people aged 0-19 across a variety of settings eg special school , clinic and home settings.
This is part time 32.5 hours per week role until 29th October 2027.
Main duties of the job
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a varied caseload of patients with physical needs
- Deliver evidence-based interventions in line with best practice
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, carers, and external agencies
- Maintain accurate clinical records and reports
- Participate in service development and team meetings

Person specification
Knowledge
Essential
- Able to demonstrate the ability to work at relevant level
- Knowledge of additional specialist areas through in-house training & short courses
- In-depth knowledge of working within the NHS
- Able to support workplace learning for staff and students, and specifically act as a field work educator, and preceptor
Desirable
- Able to demonstrate the ability to work within a community health team
- Able to demonstrate the management of complex casework
Experience
Essential
- Documented evidence of continuing professional development.
- Post registration experience in a relevant clinical setting.
Desirable
- Evidence of previous community paediatric physiotherapy experience
Qualifications
Essential
- Diploma or 1st Level degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
- Current HCPC registration
- Clinical educators course within the first year
- Must hold a full valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle or viable alternative
