An excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join a high-quality Occupational.

Therapy service. Our service aims to help adults to continue to live at home, where your role will be to assess and manage a caseload of patients, on an inpatient ward, with varied and complex needs located across West Berkshire.

The ideal candidate will be a registered Occupational Therapist with an interest in the

rehabilitation of older adults, have great organisational skills and enjoy team working.

Working Pattern and Service Overview. This core hours of this role will be 8am – 4pm. Currently we are not following weekend working patterns, this may change in the future.

This role can offer the opportunity to explore the Rainbow Room which has palliative beds, and there is also a specialised unit that includes eight neuro-designated beds. You may collaborate with separate multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care for patients with neurological conditions, gaining valuable experience in a focused and supportive clinical environment.

Main duties of the job

The post will be part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team within an inpatient setting which will offer assessment and treatment for patients in the west of Berkshire.

  • To provide supervision guidance to band 3 and 4 support workers in the therapy team.
  • To make recommendations to the wider MDT and to support with education of  students.
  • To identify service developments, needs, contribute to the planning, development and  evaluation of the service and have responsibility for defined projects.
  • To be responsible for a complex caseload using an interdisciplinary, patient focused  rehabilitative approach with support from the senior therapists.

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy along with HCPC registration.
  • A passion for working in a rehabilitation or intermediate care setting.
  • Car driver & possess full driver’s license to be able to drive in the UK.
