The Role
We welcome applications from enthusiastic and motivated candidates who are committed to developing themselves, supporting others and contributing to the ongoing development of the Primary Care Occupational Therapy service. We envisage that the successful candidate will aligned to North Lanarkshire GP practices; however, as part of our Pan-Lanarkshire Primary Care Occupational Therapy Service, flexibility to work across localities in line with service needs will be required. In this key role, you will:
- Be responsible for Occupational Therapy triage, assessment and rehabilitation for a defined caseload.
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and modify treatment interventions to meet individual patient needs.
- Be responsible for the assessment and prescription of equipment to optimise patients’ occupational performance.
- Assess capacity to engage in Occupational Therapy. Gain informed consent and work within a legal framework with patients.
What You'll Bring:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registered Occupational Therapist with valid HCPC Registration
- Knowledge of application of the theory underpinning OT practice
- The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
- A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
