This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Specialist Physiotherapist to work within the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Occupational Health Service. The post holder should ideally have a Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy and be a member of the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC). The post holder should have specialist knowledge gained through a minimum 3 years post qualification experience and have experience working in an Out Patients setting.

The successful post holder will be a key member of our existing Occupational Health Physiotherapy team and of our wider multidisciplinary team helping to support the delivery of a comprehensive service at a time of significant growth and development.

Key responsibilities of the service is the Provision of specialist Occupational Health physiotherapy care for a diverse range of clinical conditions. We aim to provide easy and early access to physiotherapy advice, assessment, treatment and management programmes for staff with a diverse range of musculoskeletal problems. This includes providing specialist advice to General Practitioners, Occupational Health practitioners and NHSGGC managers on employee fitness for work and occupational issues related to employee musculoskeletal health. We are involved in highlighting and managing areas of musculoskeletal risk within NHSGGC through identification, work site assessment and risk reducing recommendation strategies. As a service we are also involved in providing health education and contribute to health promotion of the staff within Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a positive and enthusiastic approach. You should have excellent communication, assessment and organisational skills. Be able to work independently and function effectively within the larger team, demonstrating adaptability to the diverse and variable demands upon our service.

There may be a requirement for travel within the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area. A driving licence is desirable although not essential.
