Join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a Nursing Auxiliary within our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and become part of a compassionate, highly skilled multidisciplinary team delivering exceptional care to children and their families. Band 2 roles are not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker or Health and Care Worker visa routes.
All other roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

Hours: Full Time (36 Hours)
Working Pattern: 0730-2000, 1930-0800
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver and support high quality patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse
- Assist with personal care including hygiene, feeding and comfort of patients
- Maintain a safe, clean and well-organised ward environment at all times
- Monitor patients and report any physical or psychological changes promptly
- Communicate effectively with patients, families and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Support stock control, equipment use and general housekeeping duties within the unit
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all organisational policies and procedures
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- Experience or familiarity with working in a healthcare or hospital environment
- Knowledge of health and safety, infection control and moving and handling practices
- Awareness of hospital-acquired infection prevention and environmental cleanliness standards
- Ability to use basic IT systems and maintain accurate records
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a caring and empathetic approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy and demanding environment
- Flexible approach to working hours with a willingness to learn and develop
