Although this post will be based in Outpatients, it will be primarily located in Main Outpatients; however, you will be expected to rotate to other OPD areas to support other specialties if required to meet the needs of the service. The post holder/s will be required to work flexible working times including evenings and weekends. Set days of working will not be authorised due to the flexibility of the service.
You will be required to provide quality planned care for patients across all OPD areas and to support and assist in the management and organisation of care provision within the OPD departments.
To participate in the delivery OPD patient pathways
The post holder will be be responsible for delivering high quality, patient centered, compassionate care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (or other registered care professional dependent on setting) with a focus on promoting health and independence. They will be an accountable professional and have the ability to work without direct supervision, at times delivering care independently in line with the individual’s defined plan of care, within the parameters of practice of the Nursing Associate role, accessing clinical and care advice when needed.
