This training is mandatory and forms a vital part of your development journey. This role will be paid at Band 2 until all required competencies are successfully completed.

The division delivers specialist secure mental health and learning disability services across low, medium, and high secure settings. We support individuals with complex needs, including those with a diagnosis of mental illness, personality disorders, learning disabilities, or autism, providing care in environments designed to ensure both safety and therapeutic progress.

A recruitment and retention premia (£600 - £4034) is available for roles in Secure Care dependant on allocations. Allocations are determined by the service; premia will reflect service allocation.

Main duties of the job

To carry out assigned duties, involving direct care and observation of service users under the guidance and indirect supervision of registered staff.

To report to the registered staff any observations made whilst providing care to service users activities and leisure, providing details of mental state and risk factors.

To work with service users on an individual and group basis as outlined in the care plan and as directed by the appropriate named lead professional.
