The Great Western Hospital are seeking a Nurse Associate to join the team on the Neonatal Unit.
Main duties of the job
As a band 4 Nurse Associate you will be working alongside an experienced team to provide care to a range of babies with a variety of conditions. Our Neonatal unit has 18 cots, which is comprised of 2 intensive cots, 4 high dependency cots and 12 special care cots.
We are a designated Local Neonatal Unit, (Level 2) providing care for preterm babies from 27 weeks’ gestation and for sick new born babies. We also have a Transitional Care unit soon to have 8 beds.

To undertake the core competencies for a nurse associate, Work within clearly defined accountability frameworks and boundaries of limitation to provide the best possible care in collaboration with colleagues, patients, their families and carers.

- Recent experience nursing children in an acute / community setting
- Current knowledge of developments in healthcare
- Able to demonstrate effective consolidation of nursing knowledge and practice after qualification
- PBLS
