Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an NMP to work within our busy and innovative CYPMHS service.

You will be working as part of a large and well established multi-disciplinary team working with children and young people and their families.

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Non-Medical Prescriber who is enthusiastic and passionate about working with children and young people with mental health difficulties.

You will be required to hold and operate under an independent prescribing qualification. Your role will include working within regular clinics, offering a mixture of face-to-face and virtual/phone appointments as required by the needs of the individual client and that of the service.

The specialist prescribing clinics within Leeds CAMHS most commonly address ADHD, depression, anxiety, and sleep disturbances in the context of mental health conditions. As a Non-Medical Prescriber within this service, you would be expected to prescribe for the range of presenting conditions whilst always practising within your field of competence.

Clinical supervision by a Consultant Psychiatrist and experienced Non-Medical Prescribers will be available during clinic times and within regular group supervision sessions (held daily within each clinic).
