Applicants must identify their sponsoring manager in the supporting statement. Honorary Contracts (non-medical staff only)
An honorary contract is for individuals who are not employed or paid by Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust (LGT) but need to carry out work on LGT sites. This usually applies where you are working through a third party organisation or undertaking activity for a self-funded purpose.
If you hold an honorary contract, you must comply with the Trust’s policies and the terms and conditions of the honorary contract. Honorary contracts are department-specific and are issued for a fixed period of up to three years.
Please note: honorary contracts are unpaid placements.
Observer Contracts (non-medical staff only)
An observer contract is for individuals who are not employed or paid by the Trust and only need to observe Trust processes and practices. Observer contracts do not allow individuals to carry out work or have active involvement in patient care or Trust systems.
