University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Foundation Trust provides acute hospital care to the local population. An opportunity has arisen at Royal Lancaster Infirmary for a Non-Clinical Support Worker on Ward 33.

Main duties of the job
You will work in conjunction with all staff in order to maintain a clean and safe environment and ensure housekeeping jobs are completed in a satisfactory manner.
- To support clinical care delivery
- To co-ordinate all patient facilities services within the ward area
- Ordering of supplies for the ward and maintaining stores
- To ensure that the ward is a safe, clean, tidy and comfortable environment
- Ensure that food is available to meet the patients’ needs
- Assist the ward staff to receive, welcome and guide patients and visitors onto the ward
- Assist in daily bed making
- Assist in the preparation of bed areas on transfer and discharge of patients
- Ensure all patients are afforded privacy and dignity throughout their stay
- Ensure that there is an adequate linen supply throughout the day
- Respond to health emergencies as appropriate
