Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Post registration experience
- Understanding of integrated governance agenda
- Experience of working as an autonomous practitioner
- Change management experience
- Experience of managing/leading a team Experience of multi-disciplinary/multi agency working
- Extensive knowledge of substance misuse issues
- Demonstrates specialist expertise underpinned by theory acquired through CPD
Desirable
- Experience of working within primary care/substance misuse/acute care
- Understanding of local and national key documents and their impact on health care delivery in a prison setting
- Experience of working with individuals with a history of substance misuse
- Experience of service development
- Management Experience of recruitment, selection and retention of staff
Education and Qualifications
Essential
- Registered Nurse
- Non-Medical Prescriber (V300)
- Evidence of ongoing CPD
- RCGP cert 1/2 or willingness to undertake
Desirable
- Degree relevant to post
- RCGP Cert 1/2 Substance Misuse or relevant qualification
- Primary Care/LTC qualification Mentorship qualification
- Further prescribing speciality qualifications (e.g. VT900 anticoagulation management,
- RCGP pt2 Substance misuse)
