Main duties of the job
As a Night Senior Care Assistant, you'll join the Agincare family at the Trafalgar care home in Weymouth. This role involves delivering person-centred care, ensuring residents receive personal care within their preferences, including bathing, dressing, and oral care, while actively promoting their right to choice and independence. You'll administer medications safely and participate in social engagements and activities. You may also support new staff and lead the home in the absence of senior managers. A day in the life of a Night Senior Care Assistant
- Person-centred care - You will ensure that residents receive personal care from you and your team including bathing, dressing and oral care within their preferences, and actively promote right to choice and independence
- Review -You will contribute to and carry out care reviews with your residents to ensure their plans reflect their needs.
- Medication - You will administer residents' medication in a safe andsupportive and compliant way
- Social Activity - You will lead in and participate in trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
- Leadership - you may support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, and may be called up on to lead the home where more senior managers are not available.
