The post requires being able to work well as part of a team and also on your own initiative. You will be required to travel, therefore a valid driving license and access to a vehicle would be desirable.
Main duties of the job
Identify on a daily basis which babies require screening by using the Smart for Hearing (S4H) and other relevant hospital systems, in addition to liaising with the ward staff.
Carry out the newborn hearing screen within national and local protocols using automated equipment without direct supervision.
Ensure results are given to parents/carers and are delivered to primary care teams and follow-up services.
Accurately and legibly record clinical and test data, both written and electronically, taking responsibility for the data.
Responsible for monitoring stock levels and ordering stock and non-stock items. Ability to study independently and complete work sheets, case studies and reflection document. Planning and organisational tasks / duties
