Job summary
The MSK Service is looking to recruit a number of MSK clinicians into the outpatients team to work in various localities (Oak Park, Southampton, Portsmouth). The teams form part of a larger MSK service which takes pride in delivering high quality care & rehabilitation. We encourage conversations around flexible working options.
Working closely with primary & secondary care colleagues, the MSK teams serve the local community in outpatient settings across Hampshire. Caseloads are varied & referrals are received directly from GPs/FCP & Secondary care Consultants as well as self-referrals.
The MSK team is committed to continued professional development & promote evidence-based practise to ensure a high standard of care throughout the service. Main duties of the job
1.Undertakes a musculoskeletal assessment of patients and from this formulates a diagnosis and treatment plan which is carried out as an autonomous practitioner.
2.Develop a role in the supervision, teaching and appraisal of rehabilitation assistants, students and other members of the multi disciplinary team as required.
3.Participates in evidence based projects, assists in implementing changes within designated team/area and setting and monitoring standards of practice.
4.There may be a requirement to work in other areas of the trust if the service requires it.
