
Job summary
We are seeking a skilled and friendly MRI Radiographer to join our Nottingham Specialist Imaging Centre on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. This full-time role involves 3 x 12-hour shifts (flexible within 7am9pm) across Monday to Sunday. You will work across our state-of-the-art InHealth Imaging Centre and an on-site relocatable unit, performing high-quality MRI scans in line with MHRA, IR(ME)R, and professional standards. You will support patients through their imaging journey, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a collaborative team environment. The successful candidate will be HCPC registered with experience in MRI scanning, able to work independently and as part of a team, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care. Free on-site parking and modern facilities included.
Main duties of the job
Perform MRI scans to professional standards, ensuring safety and diagnostic quality. Support and reassure patients throughout their imaging experience, maintaining high levels of patient care. Conduct daily equipment quality checks and maintain a safe scanning environment. Accurately record patient information, update systems, and support appointment scheduling. Share knowledge and provide guidance to colleagues, fostering a collaborative team culture. Work flexibly across weekdays and weekends to meet service needs. Comply with all relevant legislation, professional guidelines, and local policies, including GDPR, Data Protection, and Caldicott Principles. Participate in continuous professional development and assist with training where appropriate.

What Youll Be Doing:
- Performing MRI scans to top standards , following MHRA, IR(ME)R, and professional guidelines.
- Making patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their MRI journey .
- Running equipment quality checks and keeping everything safe and smooth .
- Keeping patient records accurate and supporting bookings .
- Sharing your knowledge with colleagues and helping the team grow .
- Working flexibly across the week, including weekends .
Who You Are:
- BSc in Radiography or equivalent
- HCPC registered
- Confident with MRI physics, scanning techniques & sequences
- Experienced with MRI in hospital or mobile settings
- Calm under pressure and a team player
- Passionate about patient care and always looking to improve
- Knowledge of GDPR, Data Protection Act & Caldicott Principles
Bonus Points If You:
- Have experience with contrast scans or are eager to learn
- Know health & safety policies, infection control, manual handling & basic life support
- Love being part of a multi-disciplinary team
