The MRI & CT Department is inviting keen and motivated radiographers to join our highly skilled and dedicated friendly team. We are responsible for producing an exceptional standard of cross sectional radiography for our musculoskeletal radiologists, orthopaedic surgeons and our specialised bone tumour team.
We deliver exceptionally high standards in MRI and CT imaging. Our MRI unit includes 1.5T and 3T Siemens scanners for specialist orthopaedic and spinal work. In CT, we carry out a high volume of interventional procedures—nerve root injections, bone biopsies, and radiofrequency/cryo ablations—alongside routine scans on our Canon scanner.
We have a mixed skill set of Band 6 and Band 7 radiographers, providing opportunities for progression within the department.

The organisation is a single site hospital based in Oswestry, Shropshire, close to the border with Wales. As such, the Trust serves the people of England and Wales, as well as acting as a national healthcare provider. It also hosts some local services which support the communities in and around Oswestry. There are excellent road and rail links in the area with all major cities in the UK easily accessible.
The hospital has eight inpatient wards including a private patient ward, ten operating theatres, as well as extensive outpatient and diagnostic facilities. The hospital was awarded NHS Foundation Trust status in August 2011. This means that RJAH can better shape healthcare services around local needs and priorities and the requirements of commissioners of healthcare.
