Two exciting opportunities have arisen to work within the 111 option 2 urgent mental health care team in Lincolnshire, 37.5 hours per week.
These posts are key within the 24/7 Mental Health First Response service, and you will be the first point of contact for people who may require urgent mental health support.
Mental Health Practitioners provide effective mental health support to people calling the service who may be experiencing a mental health crisis. This may include triage and risk assessments, and brief psychosocial interventions.
Working via telephone and video calls, Mental Health Practitioners will provide effective emotional support for people through the use of compassionate conversations and, when appropriate, encourage and guide effective self-management of emotional distress.
Mental Health Practitioners will be able to recognise when a person requires more support than is possible to be delivered over the phone, such as a crisis mental health assessment or ongoing support and be confident to make the necessary arrangements to facilitate this with an appropriate registrant, clinician, service or organisation.
The post is home based, however please be aware that there will be expectations to attend team meetings, training and if experiencing internet difficulties, you will need to get to your nearest base to login.
The helpline is a 24hr service including bank holidays and weekends. Shift patterns are long days, nights and twilight shifts.
