Based in the village of Calverton, in Nottingham and set in extensive grounds, Priory Hospital Arnold is an inpatient acute and psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU), for males and females struggling with a wide range of mental health conditions.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred mental health nursing care, working closely with patients, families and carers.
  • Act as a Named Nurse, assessing patients’ needs, developing and reviewing care plans and monitoring their progress.
  • Observe and engage with patients to identify changes in their presentation, responding appropriately to changing needs and risks.
  • Work closely with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to coordinate and deliver effective patient care.
  • Prioritise and delegate nursing duties appropriately, taking charge of the ward when required and maintaining a safe care environment.
  • Support the safe management of medication and ensure care is delivered in line with safeguarding, Mental Health, Mental Capacity and DoLS requirements.
