Are you a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse looking to develop your career in acute mental health? We are looking for enthusiastic Band 5 Registered Nurses to join our supportive team on Sandpiper Ward at Hellesdon Hospital.

Sandpiper is a 16-bed acute adult inpatient ward for men experiencing functional mental illness. We provide compassionate, recovery-focused care within a supportive multidisciplinary team. Our focus is on delivering safe, high-quality care while promoting dignity, independence and positive patient outcomes.

Main duties of the job

You will provide safe, effective and person-centred care to patients throughout their inpatient journey. You will develop therapeutic relationships, contribute to assessments and care planning, support recovery goals and promote patients’ independence and wellbeing.

You will work collaboratively with patients, families, carers and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure care is coordinated and responsive to individual needs. Your role will include physical health monitoring, risk assessment and management, medicines management, safeguarding and supporting the safe management of restrictive practices.

Every shift offers opportunities to use your clinical judgement, respond to changing needs, support therapeutic interventions and contribute to positive recovery outcomes.
