We are recruiting two Mental Health Crisis Workers to join our Crisis Teams, one in Speedwell, the second in Gloucester House, Southmead. The team provide a 24/7 service. This exciting opportunity has arisen within the Bristol Mental Health Partnership, which involves collaborative working between a number of organisations to include Second Step and Avon and Wiltshire Partnership Trust (part of the National Health Service).
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to: Work with families, carers and friends and be working within a multi-disciplinary team Support a caseload An excellent communicator Build therapeutic relationship with service users Receive management and clinical supervision, together with group reflective practice These jobs are part time, 22.2 hours per week, in Speedwell and 29.6 in Southmead. Both jobs are permanent, with a salary of £26,056 (pro rata) per annum. In addition, there is an uplift of £2,116 (pro rata) for working nights. About you You will: have a considered, thoughtful and reflective approach toward supporting an individual in their recovery journey able to care plan and carry through a persons care. have good communication skills and an ability to liaise with multiple agencies (secondary care teams, GPs friends and family are just a few examples of the people somebody might liaise with regularly). The ideal candidates will have worked within mental health, providing a wide range of interventions to assist people, during a period of acute mental health crisis and connecting into community resources. You must: be passionate about improving the lived experience and health of people using mental health services have proven knowledge of support needs of people with mental health needs

Job responsibilities
Build trusting and collaborative relationship with the service user. Carry out role adhering to Mental Health Bristol Partnerships policies, procedures, values, code of conduct and current legislation using a Recovery orientated, psychologically informed, equalities based approach Co produce, implement and review recovery plan, crisis plan and other self-management tools e.g. Wellness Recovery Action Plan, in partnership with service users in line with best practice. Case manage and co-ordinate support, referring and liaising effectively with all professionals, agencies and other parties involved in service users support in order to deliver the support package. Work closely with colleagues with the service and build strong partnership working with other agencies such as Health and Social Care, Voluntary and Community Service. Support/ facilitate service users to access services. Identify, assess, contribute, maintain, feedback and manage risk to ensure risk is minimised. Work in a safe manner using a positive risk-taking approach, ensuring the health and safety policies of Mental Health Bristol are implemented and fully adhered to ensure all safeguarding issues are properly managed.

- A experience working with people with mental health needs, or people with complex needs
- Proven experience of working with people with multiple needs (e.g. mental health, homelessness, alcohol/drug dependency long term conditions)
- Proven experience of carrying out needs and/or risk assessments and the support planning process
- Experience of working with a number of individuals with competing needs and priorities
Desirable
- Proven experience of mental health issues and/or services, either as a user, carer or supporter.
