Job summary

The role of Electrical Shift Engineer is a rewarding and entrusted position within the Estates team at St Jamess University Hospital. The successful candidate will work as part of a shift team and work shifts four on, four off consisting, of two days followed by two nights Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is a large Trust with a huge portfolio of equipment and systems, which allow the successful candidate to gain experience in a huge range of areas and in a variety of environments

Main duties of the job

They will form part of a dynamic team committed to pushing the boundaries, working together to achieve the desired results and the best outcome for our patients. You will work on complex systems, carry out dynamic risk assessments, work autonomously as required, organising and rectifying reactive works and carrying out statutory planned maintenance items to ensure maximum availability of equipment to minimize any downtime. The role will offer training opportunities to help develop the successful candidate who will work with outside agencies, other Trust departments, specialised maintenance contractors and valued partners.
