At NHS Highland we have a full-time vacancy within our Estates Department for a Maintenance Shift Technician (Multi-Skilled) covering Raigmore Hospital.
The successful candidate will carry out mechanical, plumbing and electrical maintenance and repair of building services, plant and equipment, which contributes to the provision of excellent patient care.
Key Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required.
- A recognised apprenticeship in the appropriate trade (Electrical, Mechanical or Plumbing), a City & Guilds qualification or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Ability to carry out work in accordance with current regulations and a knowledge of approved Codes of Practice and Industry Standards.
- A competent working knowledge of other trades enabling the post holder to respond to emergency breakdowns when working to a shift rota.
- Capability to undertake lone working where on-site supervision or technical support isn’t immediately available.
- Good communication and team working skills.
- Literacy and numeracy
- Ability to prioritise and work using own initiative.
- A current UK driving license

Monday - Friday
Days - 7am - 4pm
Back Shift - 4pm -11pm
Nights - 11pm - 7am
Weekends / Public Holidays
7am - 7pm
